Intensive Outpatient Therapy provides an additional stepping stone to returning completely to everyday life and responsibilities, while helping you stay strong in your recovery.

Your recovery doesn’t end when you are ready to leave the residential program, and neither does our care. Our team of compassionate, professional staff will help you make the transition into living on your own again in an IOP or Intensive Outpatient Program. We will help guide you through this very exciting but challenging time in your recovery process. Steps in that transition may include an Intensive Outpatient Program through one of our trusted community partners.

Depending on your individual needs, an Intensive Outpatient Program may occur directly after residential treatment, or it may follow a Partial Hospitalization Program through one of our trusted campus partners. This follow-up care can help you build on everything that you learned during residential treatment and keep the transition into the real world from being overwhelming.

Benefiting form Intensive Outpatient Treatment

  • An Intensive Outpatient Program gives you the continued support of counselors and peers to help stay strong in your recovery. As you are out in the world each day you will face challenges and concerns that you may not have addressed yet through residential treatment. IOP gives you a place to voice these concerns and to receive guidance on these challenges.
  • IOP also holds you accountable. Although you will be outside of treatment for most of your waking hours, knowing that supportive staff and peers are expecting you to come back to the next treatment session and to stay committed to recovery can be very motivational.
  • Most Intensive Outpatient Programs also include family/support person sessions, giving the significant people in your life an opportunity to learn more about how to support you in your recovery now that you are living on your own again.
  • IOP gives you the chance to try living on your own again, find a job, finish school, work and pay your bills, while at the same time giving you significant resources and a team of staff and peers to help build your recovery.

Private And Comfortable

I’ve detoxed on my couch and a hospital bed both were terrible. Then I went to Wellness Residential Detox and actually received real detox treatment. I never even knew that residential detox was a real thing. They made coming off alcohol a whole lot easier than the hospital’s emergency care ever did. The Staff actually helped me get through my detox they didn’t just leave me on a bed for a few days. I received quality medical treatment in a private and comfortable setting. Thanks to all the Staff at Wellness Detox for helping me make it through my detox and get into a great aftercare program!
